Rachelle Lefevre
Rachelle Lefevre was born in Canada. As she waited tables at the restaurant, Lefevre was spotted by a Canadian film director who to her credit, was able to help the aspiring actress land her first acting job. Lefevre subsequently moved to Los Angeles, where she earned a role in the television series What About Brian (2006). Lefevre who was just a teenager and working in an Montreal restaurant that served sushi, heard of her aspirations to be an actor and made contact with a casting director. That eventually lead to being cast in the Canadian sitcom. Her appearances in David E. Kelley's Boston Legal (2003) led her to play the lead role in David E. Kelley's 2008 U.S. version of the BBC hit Life on Mars (2009). Lefevre was brought up within Montreal through her father's French family, however she was raised in English. She landed her largest film role yet in Catherine Hardwicke's film adaptation of Stephenie Meyer's Twilight. This is the very first in a cult trilogy of teenage vampire novels.
