Coleman was born in Blackpool Lancashire. She was a headgirl in the Arnold School, Blackpool and had straight A's at her A level. In a discussion about her Emmerdale role, Coleman said that she regrets not having a conventional university experiences. When she was at school, Coleman was a part of a theatre company called In Yer Space with whom she performed at the Edinburgh Festival in the play Crystal Clear. The award was presented to her for her performance while the play was also highly praised. When she was auditioning for drama schools, Coleman got the role of Jasmine Thomas in Emmerdale in 2005. Coleman was nominated twice for Awards in 2007. Coleman received two nominations in 2007 for Best Newcomer in the British Soap Awards; and the most Popular Newcomer for the National Television Awards. In 2009 she won nominated in the two categories which included Best Actress-Sexiest Women and Best Dramatic Performance. Coleman won a TV Choice Award for Best Actress. Steven Moffat revealed at a Doctor Who Press Conference on the 21st of March that Coleman was to play Matt Smith as the Doctor's Companion after Karen Gillan, Arthur Darvill and others quit the series. Moffat chose her due to her ability to work together with Smith, and that she could speak faster than him. Eva Larue..............................Eva LaRue is an American actor and model. Elle has been in the world of film since 1987. She is more well-known for her work on television than in films. Of all the roles Eva has appeared in on television shows like Dr. Maria Santos in All My Children and the detective Natalia Boa Vista' in CSI Miami are the two that make an impression. The latter brought her two nominations for a 'Daytime Emmy. Also, she got to show off her artistic side through music. Eva is an entrepreneur and also an actor. The actress has three marriages and has a daughter with her second husband.
