Ali MacGraw

Ali MacGraw aka Elizabeth Alice MacGraw was an American actor, animal activist and writer who was awarded numerous prizes. Love Story (1970), Goodbye Columbus '69 and The Getaway '72 are some of her most acclaimed films. Growing up in an artistic family in New York she wished to work in the field of arts. She started as a photographic assistant before moving on to acting and modeling. The first two films she appeared in she received recognition and was awarded an award called the Golden Globe Award as Most Promising Young Actress. MacGraw became a household name following the success of her 1970 film Love Story. She was selected for one of the Academy Award and won a Golden Globe. Within three years, MacGraw was ranked as the number one female box-office starter in the whole world. Her footprints, handwritten in 1972 as well as her signature were inscribed at the Grauman's Chinese Theater. She has starred in several other movies, including The Getaway Convoy Players and the miniseries on TV The Winds of War among others. Moving Pictures, a 1991 autobiography by her, was released. MacGraw was married three times.
