Ali MacGraw

Ali MacGraw (Elizabeth Alice MacGraw) is a American animal rights activist, author, model and actor. The actress is famous for movies like Love Story (1970) Goodbye Columbus (1969) and The Getaway (1972). She was drawn to becoming an artist was inspired by her family background in an New York family of artists. Her first job was as a photographer's assistant before moving on to acting and modeling. The first two films she appeared in she received recognition and was awarded her the Golden Globe Award as Most Popular Young Actress. MacGraw became an international superstar after her film Love Story, which earned an Academy Award nomination as well as a Golden Globe. She was named the best female box-office star of the globe after just three releases. At Grauman's Chinese Theater, in 1972, she had her name and footprints hand-engraved. She also appeared in The Getaway Convoy Players TV Miniseries The Winds of War, along with other films. Moving Pictures, her 1991 autobiography, came out. MacGraw is married three times.
