Ali MacGraw
Ali MacGraw aka Elizabeth Alice MacGraw was an American actor, animal activist and writer who was awarded numerous prizes. She has been acclaimed for films like Love Story (from 1970), Goodbye Columbus, (1969) and The Getaway, (1972). Born and raised in a family of artists located in New York she wished to pursue a career in the field of arts. She started as a photographic assistant before moving on to acting and modeling. Her name was highlighted in two of her films and won the Golden Globe Award for Most Popular Newcomer. MacGraw became a household name after the 1970 hit film Love Story. She was considered for nomination to the Academy Award and won a Golden Globe. Within just three short films she was the highest-rated female box office actress in the entire world. Her footprints from 1972 and autograph were inscribed on the wall at Grauman's Chinese Theater. Some of the films she's been in are The Getaway Convoy Players as and the television miniseries The Winds of War. Her autobiography Moving Pictures was published in 1991. MacGraw's been married three different times.
